Power Steering Pump Pulley removal & replacement Question 200

Good Evening All,

Currently Knee deep in 240. I've got so many parts off of it... well anyways I need to pull the pulley off of the power steering pump, but I was wondering must I first take the hex type insert/nut off first before I attempt to pull it with a wheel puller?

I just got the wheel puller tonight and have been PBlasting the heck out of it.

Also, can I do this with the pump out of the car or should I put it back in?

Please advise when you get a chance. I won't be able to get to this most likely till this weekend, but I can pull any time.
