can't open an unlocked front door 200 1978

I have lifted the lock buttons on both front drs, I can pull the lever back fom inside, and I can lift the handle from the outside, but can't push the door(s) open. I want to salvage the inside panels, and window cranks, plus the door has to be open to get at the bolt that holds the end of the dashboard frame to the dr pillar. the rear drs open ok. I don't think (or know if) this 1978 245 has electric dr locking. No Batt in car for 19 yrs. TIA
