Thanks for the reference to the SwEm site info...as I state there, I posted the info there as information only...have not used this source for pistons (yet!), so if you are the first Brickboarder to do so, please post results of your experience.

I also looked at other poster's referenced source...that looks fine also...I would agree with info there, that polishing the machined SS to result in a gentler interface (read less abrasion and wear) with the seal.

...so it's just a matter of price comparison after that...
