slight banging sound from underneath car 200

I just had some tires installed on the 240 sedan and after driving away from the tire place I noticed a slight banging sound from under the car in that tranny area....I looked under the car the best I could and it might be the carrier bearing since there is a slight tear in the rubber surround....Would this be the culprit?

All I know is there was no sounds coming from the car when I took it to the tire dealer and now this....not sure if I should call them on it or not, after all the car is a 1991 and the bearing looks pretty old. What would have torn it at the tire dealer? Would the lift has caused it?

I can change it out but was wonder what the official name of the bearing is when I go to order one from FCP.

Everything else looks and feels solid...
