Leaky Gas Pump? Just hose? 1800 1969

So the jet install went great! Thanks. Had to take off carb to work out the metal tube / rubber seal.

So car starts running - a few blocks away - dies. Got running rough - wouldn't idle. See gas dripping / squirting at gas pump.

Certainly old hoses so will replace - likely leaking. Question is: does this also sound like a bad gas pump behavior? Does it leak / drip when crapping out? Or is it more a work / not work situation.

Just trying to predict what I will need when I head back to my moms to trouble shoot..... hopefully just a hose solves it ...
