1992 745 Turbo Starter/ Factory Alarm/Ignition issue? 700 1992

Hello, I have a 1992 Volvo 745 Turbo Wagon that I have owned for severeral years. It has the factory one button keyless entry/ alarm inition imobilizer system. It seems that every once in a while the car will not start. I can then turn the key to postion II and jump the starter syonoid. The last time that the car did this, I un pluged the wire going to the synoid and had someone turn the key like they were going to start the car, and the test light lit up. So maybe I just have a bad synoid.

Maybe i'm just over thinking this, but the only other car I have seen this on was a 1993 244 classic that had the same alarm system, so I have haveing a difficult time differating the stater system from the alarm system. Thanks for any advice Nick.
