Rusted Fuel Pipes

I recently posted concerning rusty components in the fuel system on a 1994 940T with 87K. It came from the Cleveland area and has more than its share of rust on the bottom side.

One post here: (and I still don't know what that item is in the fuel line before the filter or what it is called. I hope to simply eliminate it as it is not present on the earlier turbo cars)

There is a link to another post there that has additional photos of the connector between the pump and the filter.

I have already replaced the small lines on the steering rack and the brake backing plates on the front due to rust.
