Ok after some looking around (www.volvowiringdiagrams.com) there you should find some diagrams, etc. under 740 series and the bottom pdf is for a 91'. There does seem to be a compressor clutch relay in the pdf, however I have no idea were it could be. Others seem to think it is a leak but you say you are good to go on refrigerant. As a HVAC technician I know there can be much more work needed to a system than just adding freon.
