Intake Manifold Gasket Replacement 97 960 Wagon 900

I am getting a P0303, P0302, P0300 code on the wagon. I have replaced the ignition control modules and that helped. I have confirmed spark with the tester on cyl 1,2,3. I used carb cleaner to check at all of the vacuum fittings I could find and the only place I really got in increase was around cylinders 1,2, and 3. Chiltons says that the in order to remove the manifold you have to de-pressurize the fuel rail and remove it, etc. However after reading the forums it seems like most people just removed the bolts and loosened the manifold to replace the gasket.

Do you have to mess with the injector rail to replace the Intake manifold gasket?
Also, the boots are using a different type of clamp, can one use a regular hose clamp if the boots need to be tightened?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Travis
