Will A/C work without auxiliary fan? 200 1992

Hi guys, my auxiliary fan went out a year or so ago, which wasn't that big of a deal because my old r12 system didn't hold a charge due to some leaky o-rings. But now I've got an appointment scheduled for tomorrow at 2pm to have the A/C switched over to r134a, and I want to know if the A/C can be serviced and will work without one of those fans?

If not, would it be possible to have the shop convert it and then buy a replacement at a PnP or Tasca after they work on it?

I looked at the diagrams in the Bentley, and I can't see anything that looks like one is dependent on the other, but then again my electrical-schematic reading skills kind of suck!

Thanks,

Brian
