940 wheel fell off 900 1993

We were 100 miles from home when left rear wheel fell off today. I can't figure out why, since I hand torque my own wheels and torqued this one 8 weeks ago. 3 damaged lugs left (all side-by-side, not in triangle pattern) so I installed 3 nuts and used battery impact to force them on the lugs and re-tightened them every 20-30 miles and drove 50mph. Made it home, but one more lug broke off in the last 30 miles. Can I safely re-use the alloy wheel since the holes are now damaged?
