Motor mount quality 200

Is it possible that Volvo is carrying second rate motor mounts these days?

In tying to discover why my engine and tranny seem to move too much for having 8 month old, Volvo motor mounts, and a 2 month old Febi/Bilstein tranny mount, I have been searching old posts. This one from Lucid, 5 years ago, indicates that Volvo list price for motor mounts was about $35 ea. http://www.brickboard.com/RWD/volvo/1237619/220/240/260/280/tasca_url_price_correction.html

If you search the same part numbers now, MSRP is $21.

Is it more likely that the American dollar is worth so much more now than it was in 2007 that prices have dropped, or that Volvo has sourced cheaper mounts?

I don't remember the tranny mount having much to do with how far the drivetrain moves; that's more of a motor mount function.

Just thinking things through.

Sean
