Help about unlocking the flange to center shaft support 120-130

Hello and help!

I got the propel shaft (from tranny to center) down. I already got a new rubber donut and bearing to replace the worn out center support.

But...how in heaven am I able to unscrew the large bolt to remove the flanges and bearing from the shaft?! I tried everything (hammering, leverage, etc) but that nut just refused to budge.

To make sure, is the nut supposed to loosen counterclockwise? I was wondering if it was opposite and that I was just tightening it instead of loosening!!

Any help/tips greatly appreciated! Many thanks!
