Hi,

I am installing new ball joints.

I got everything apart and on installing the new ball joint the stud that goes up through the strut anchor keeps turning when I try to put the new one time use nut onto the stud. I cannot get it torqued to the approx. 44 ft. lb. The stud of the ball joint just keeps turning. Even with an impact wrench. Has anyone run into this problem?

Any ideas?
