non EGR head on a 1995 230 EGR block 900

Hi guys
In an effort to salvage my daughter's 1995 940 engine from an overheating incident, I located a used head from a '93. The '95 is a Bosch nonturbo with EGR. After pulling the head, I compared it to the "new" head and was disappointed to find the new head does not have the ports on the exhaust side for the EGR tubing.
What options do I have besides finding another head or getting the old warped head machined? I was feeling so good until this roadblock came up.
Thanks for any suggestions.
