Differential swap question 200 1991

I saw your post earlier and thought I'd wait to see if anyone could suggest a low cost mod to the '84 diff--but didn't think so. So my non-technical "retro" suggestion would be to utilize the cable driven '84 speedo head, mount the cable and go with the '84 diff as is. Or--wait for a proper diff from a matching system. As it is, your seeing about a 10+ percent increase in rpm over a stock M46 car so the difference isn't enormous--certainly livable--especially considering that before they went with the 3.31 gears the M46 cars had ratios as low as 3.91. -- Dave
