Front suspension/steering 200 1989

Sorry to beat a dead horse... Or brick for that matter... But, let's say the front end needs some attention. Struts seem bad, tie rod ends, ball joints could all use replacing...

What would you expect to do?... As a penny-pinching Volvo owner, I really want to fix all I can in the front end without going overboard... I DON'T want to replace everything, only what makes sense at the time. I want to get only one alignment (If it's done right) and I'm wondering if it makes sense while doing the struts, and strut mounts, to also tackle the tie rod ends, ball joints, and sway bar bushings?.... What about the inner tie-rods?

Again, I only want to do this once, and save up the parts for the job...

I know I'll need a tie-rod separator, and a spring compressor, but is there something else I'm forgetting? I just don't want to have to replace the whole steering rack... Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

Thanks a million (or should I say 245,000)
