Plug Wires Come Loose/Intermittent No Start 200

Hi! I have a strange problem with my 1990 240 wagon. It's been having trouble starting occasionally, and sometimes I am able to get it started by opening the hood and pushing down on the plug wires. They were recently replaced, but this problem occurred before that. The old wires were bad, and I didn't have a problem with the new ones for a few weeks. When this happened tonight, I pushed down on the wires, and I could feel that one of the wires on the cap clearly was not attached tightly. What would be causing this to happen?
