Xena needs a new home 120-130 1967

But only someone who will take care of the Princess Warrior and keep it out of the winter salt. I make a promise to C.A. to not trash her favorite car, and so far have only improved it. I am placing this notice here because you are the ones that I know who appreciate not only a good 1967 220, but can take care of it as well.

It has a B18 with a Weber carb which gets me around 30mpg on the highway, of course the OD helps. There is zero rust to the original floor pans and the rest of the under carriage. Of course, there are several rust bubbles under the paint, the worst being on the right front fender, but none of them are rusted through.

I have been told that the car could use a new paint job, this is true. Whoever painted it did a really bad job and the entire body could use a soda blast, primer, and new paint. The original paint is kind of white? The product plate was removed, so the codes are missing.

Here is a list of known defects:

Clutch slave cylinder leaks, new slave and flex line on order.
Rear main seal leaks for the top 1 quart of oil and then drips when run. I have a new seal.
Carburator could use a cleaning.
The windshield washer bottle leaks.
The vacuum assist has been removed for the brakes, but a dual master has been installed. The master cylinder seals leak a bit on light application.
Windshield leaks, I have a new seal but it is not installed.
The bottom supports of both rear quarter windows are rusted, probably due to inside condensation.
It could use a new set of rear springs, dragging a large camper probably did them in.
The inside firewall could use a new blanket.
I took out the thread bare rear carpet and installed floor carpet.
The pinion seal will leak under stress? The diff does need a look see but is probably OK.
The left wiper blade spring needs to be replaced.
The heater blower only works on 'low'.
The rubber around the left wing vent is worn badly, so I never close it.
The odometer no longer resets.
Hatrack vinyl has separated at the firewall join and no longer holds items.
The dash 'brake' light and heater control light are missing.
The nice things are:

It always starts and runs, no complaints.
The all seats are original.
The dash pad looks good, as does the new tach.
The floor dimmer switch still works.
The start position for the key still works, but there is a button that I use.
12V alternator with new brushes.
Oil pressure and alternator gauges work.
Brakes are in good condition, E brake is tight.
Two new tires in the rear, fronts are only so,so.
All of the lights work, inside and out.
New window rubber for the doors, no rattles.
Car cover and trailer hitch.

Don't get me wrong, I really like this car. I just don't think it is fair to Xena that she has to sit for 6 months every year. Not only do I not drive it when there is salt on the road, I have managed to avoid rain since I have owned her. So someone with inside storage space and a stronger back than I to repl the RMS and/or clutch will wind up with a fine example of a 220.

This is NOT a give away. I dontated $2,000 to C.A. so that she didn't feel cheated and then put a fair bit of money and elbow grease to make Xena into a daily driver. While the car may have 295,000 miles on the chassis, best guess, I still think it is worth more than a FWD car with half the mileage.

Use the email envelope if you have an interest. Other comments are welcome. My wife will not ride in it.
I have a bunch of pictures somewhere.
