fuse bypass 240 chiming all the time 200 1989

I just purchased a 1989 240 wagon.

The chime will sound all the while the key is inserted, unless the nifty #8 fuse bypass breaks the circuit. When the fuse bypass switch goes from on to off, or off to on, it activates what sounds like a relay in the middle of the dash, just below the center air vents.

Very annoying.

Also, a fuel pump (I can't tell which one) runs when the key is in the accessory, or ignition position.

I have two parts cars (1986 240 wagons), which I must dispose of this week. Are there any parts I can pull off the donor wagon which might be of use in fixing the chime problem?
