Speedometer sensor removal-pry out? 200 1990

Hi,

I need to remove the speedometer sensor in the rear differential in order to replace the o ring that seems to be causing a leak. The rear of the cover is coated pretty heavily.

I got back there cleaned the area up a bit, disconnected the connector, but I cannot figure out how to remove it. It doesn't have a allen bolt like the later sensors-models with ABS. I saw two indentations on the surrounding area of the sensor so I figured it might pry out. Tried a little but not too much, figured it's better to get an answer with someone with experience than to break a $150 sensor.

Only had a little bit of time to mess around so I didn't get too deep. Besides that in order to actually get the sensor out it looked as though I will have to remove the track bar or at least one side of it as it is in the way.

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Travis
