What's up with Mann oil filter's prices??? 200 1986

Last month I went to Advanced Auto Parts to buy a Mann W917 at $6.75 each. Yesterday, I went to get another for my daughter's car and was shocked to hear that they had gone up to $9.99! Even on ebay, everyone has jacked up their prices too. I noticed that on eEuroparts.com, their individual ones are $5.09
but a case of 10 cost $56.10. What's going on? I'll still continue to use them as they have helped my engine live over 485K miles. I just did my 182nd oil change since the car was new and it has always used Mann filters and Castrol GTX 10W-30. The creeping price just irks me. Any thoughts?
