TCB removal experience. 200

Removed the TCB.
No continuity at ....tempFaker.html test points.
Soldered a jump from pin 1 to 3.
Buzz continuity at the pins with "some" continuity present at test points, but no buzz with my meter at the test points. Figured my meter was not sensative enough to buzz and went ahead and reinstalled the instrument cluster.

On test drive, needle moved slowly into the red and sat there.

Remembered that, about a year ago, I replaced the temp sender with one made in Spain ("FAE" on box), trying to resolve this temp guage problem.
Restored the original sender. Now the needle goes to 9 o'clock and stays there.
