Check engine light on- swapping AMM made no difference

1994 940T 225K

A willingness to try different possibilities prompted me to swap out the AMM yesterday. Unfortunately, it did not produce any change in the Check Engine light coming on immediately upon start up after being cleared.

Can someone tell what components are involved in detecting lean mixture/air leaks? Is it the O2 sensor that monitors and the ECU that processes the information?

I hate driving with the CE light on as any additional problems that might illuminate the light would go unnoticed.

Randy
