Cruise Control Problem 200

1993 245 auto cruise control when all hooked up just starts on it's own without doing anything.When you take off and let your foot off the gas it's in cruise at that speed. You can speed up with the button but you can't use the switch to decellerate. the only way to shut it off is step on the brake.

I want to check the wiring but the wires are a different color then in the wiring diagram for the stalk switch 93 in the Bentley. On the stalk switch
Brown wire goes to 31b
Blue R
Yellow(2) 49a
Blue/Green L

To stop the cruise control from working I pull the vacuum hose off the vac.pump and plug it at the engine bay.
