Fixing the glovebox? 200 1989

Hi,

Can't remember the usual cause of this common failure. But about 2 years ago this happened to our 92 245. I fixed the problem by cutting out a thin rectangular piece from sheet metal and affixing it with two small screws where the glovebox latch (usually) contacts the striker plate. It worked and looked better than the piece of duct tape holding the glovebox shut.
