Blower motor seems wimpy on speeds 3 & 4 200 1986

About 7 years ago, I replaced my blower motor in my '86 240 sedan. I only recently have gotten over the trauma of having to do this project. Anyway, I recently had the chance to ride with someone who has a '91 and found that his puts out more air volume than mine. I had replaced mime with a Siemen's unit along with the resistor and switch when I did this project. Mine just seems to be about 20 to 25% less in output compared to the other. Is it my motor or resistor? As far as I can tell, this was not the problem when I changed mine out and the drop has been gradual over the years. I'd hate to think I'd have to do this project again. Thanks for any thoughts.
