Timing belt done-better performance 200 1992

After finding records in the glove box that pointed to the odometer gear having been replaced at sometime, it got me to thinking that the timing belt would probably be due for replacement. A quick visual confirmed it was on borrowed time. Several cracks deep enough to see the reinforcement strands. Well, my first timing belt is now under my belt, and it went smoothly. Bought the tool from IPD, as I was initially going to do the rope trick, but since I have 2 B230 Volvo's thought the tool would be a worthwhile investment. I guess the timing belt was fairly stretched, because the car is performing and idling better. Boy am I glad I changed the belt. A busy week, with a blower motor and timing belt (first time for both!) but my Volvo is already thanking me. Now to do the replacement of the header pipe and I'll be done..for now!
