Front Strut install maybe DONE 200

Okay, I did the strut installation and I have a question...

Everything went just as planed however, I think (i think) that the top 15/16 strut nut is not tight enough to the bearing mount. I can not seem to tighten the nut any further and it appears that there is a slight space between the bottom of the nut and the top of the bearing. I only have an impact socket and not a the offset wrench. So my question is, can I hold the strut below with a vise grip and then try to re tighten the nut?

I hope that there are still some threads left on the strut to do so. The new nut that came with the Sacs struts were NOT the short nuts but tall ones. So I do not think a washer was needed.

The car runs like silk on the freeway but getting on the side roads and hitting those cracks or variations between sections, sounds like the front end is going to fall apart. Sounds like metal hitting metal.
