Most of the threads, well, all of them, that I have found are rather old when it comes to tire discussions. Tire prices have jumped a lot in the last few years, and some of the old favorites are gone and there are many new models now, thus my question ...

I'm about to buy new tires for my 92 745 and wondering what people are finding in decent quality, somewhat inexpensive tires. I don't drive a huge amount (last year it was less than 10K) so I don't need tires that will last me 80,000 miles, as they would sun rot before I get there. We don't get snow in Tucson, so I just want a decent, cheap tire but am afraid of off-brands unless I get some sense of other people's experiences with them.

I'll go with anything between stock 185's and 205s depending upon price.
