Idle air control valve 200

So my 91' 240 volvo has had hesitation/stalling issues when its cold. As soon as the car warmed up the it was ok. After checking the AMM and a couple other things I settled on the idle air control valve. I removed it and it looked pretty dirty inside so I cleaned it out with some tb cleaner. After I put it back in the car ran fine. No hesitation or stalling whatsoever. Now a few days later the hesitation is creeping back. I am wondering is there something that is deteriorating within the iacv that cannot be fixed with a good cleaning or do I need to just give it another cleaning?
