Odd paint/detailing on 93 wagon about rear tail light 200 1993

Hey folks! Just picked up a '93 wagon after being away from the 200/rwd world for about 5 years. Its good to be back!
I am about to give it a good detailing/polishing and was going to rubbing compound this little odd design (boat?) until realized its the same colors as the pin striping on the car. its about the size of a nickel and right above the rear passenger tail light. I don't see this on any other volvo 240's in my neighborhood. Does the symbol mean anything, ie was this car a Classic Edition?
