740GL T-stat question 700

My 1989 740GL B230F non-turbo is running too cool.(gauge barely makes it past the first mark and the heater is not heating the cabin) I assume my t-stat is stuck open. Before I buy one from the many options that FCP offer, I thought I would do a bit of research an see which one will best suit me in my climate here in northern Kansas.

On the 740 facts page is says 92*C while in my owners manual it says 87*C t-stat should be used. Which one should I get?

My gut says buy the 87, but perhaps Volvo has updated since my owners manual was printed in 88-89?

Thx...
