Cally Special white mid-70s 242 with funky orange/white fabric seats? Seattle craigslist 200

http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/3332213581.html

The advert (not mine) lists a 1978 242. The description details this white 242 with orange and white funky fabric interior as some sort of CA-market special 242.

I saw one of these on the Portland craigslist in 2006.

What would you kind folks know about these models with this special interior?

I kind of doubt the sale value at 3500$. The seller indicates mileage at 91,000 miles. I see exterior sheet metal dents and missing exterior trim.

Neat looking, at least! I like the 1970s 240 seats versus the final 240 seat design. The older seats are much firmer with the sisal or other durable plant fiber and not the flattening, failing, stiffening foam in the later 240 seats. The newer seats seem to have weak seat backs, too.

cheers,

Butter Milked (with a little celery salt).
