fuel pumps won't run 200 1986

86 240, stick shift, 235,000 plus or minus.
Came out of the chiropractors yesterday, and Ruby had dash lights but no crank. Drs. receptionist helped me bump start it (after trying jumper cables )fired right up. same after the other night guy gave me a push and i drove home uneventfully .
The day before I replaced the block to heater core hose, so i was crawling all over the top of the motor.
Got home popped the hood, cleaned up the ignition fuse and holder, stuck my head in the driver's window and tapped the key, turned over o.k (but didn't start) I didn't think anything of it as it occasionally has a very minor problem with a hot start.
This morning, it would crank but not run.
I jumped 4 and 6 to no avail, replaced the f/p relay, (because i have one)
There is power to 6 but no pump noise.
I am reading archived posting but haven't seen any examples near enough to my problem to make any lights come on.
Thanks as always
