If a failing FPR is throwing off the fuel injection system contributing to Rich mix ...
would adjusting the idle and timing when the mix was Rich, mean that after putting in a new FPR that the idle would be low and/or the timing off?

Is it normal practice to reset the idle and timing after replacing a FPR?

... My friend with the table top tach is bit of a drive to get to.
