Alignment question 200 1989

Sorry, I can't delete a msg placed here by mistake. :)

I guess I'm not looking forward to spending on the entire rack.. I'd like to do the reasonable minimum. Sounds like struts and tie rod ends may be good for now. Maybe ball joints later?...

Can I just get the strut inserts? Or do I have to get extra Volvo parts/upper shock mount? Some ppl here say you don't need the mount, that they rarely go bad. I know it looks pretty good still, and there's no noise on a tight turn. If I could get away with spending under 150 for all the extra parts.. Might make it more worthwhile.

Or am I just another cheap 240 dreamer? Because of these looming questions, and spring danger element, I've never actually attempted to replace any struts in my lifetime. I'd like to change that though.
