On a recent 1,350 mile trip from West Virginia to Texas in my '67 Amazon, I was lucky enough to break down, no kidding, on the Interstate, within 100 yards of a Volvo mechanic who was open on Labor Day. I don't think I should expect that kind of luck more than once, so I'm wondering, what tools & spare parts would be advisable to carry on a cross-country trip?
I thought I saw this addressed on BB, but after a number of searches I still can't find it.
