95 940 Wagon transmission slipping 900

Hi all,

I'm a current 1992 740 wagon owner and previous 245 (x2) and 244 (x1) owner. I'm going to go look at a 95 940 wagon with the B230 and automatic. Not sure which automatic, but the owner had it rebuilt 3 years ago and he says it is now slipping again.

If the rest of the car is in good shape, I think I might buy it if I can get it for a good price.

So, the questions:

To replace the transmission, I can get one from the pick and pull. Does the donor have to come from the B230 engine, or can it come from one of the 24-valve engine models? Do I need anything else besides the transmission? Computer or wiring, etc ...?

Does the transmission have to come from a 940, or can it come from a 740?

Since it is slipping and had a rebuild three years ago, is there anything to try with fluid flush/filter change?

I did look in the FAQ, but couldn't find these answers specifically.

Thanks so much.
