New Regina Fuel Pump - Simple Question 900 1993

OK, I've got some time this weekend to tackle the Regina fuel pump.

Got the new fuel pump (FCP) and it has a black rubbery boot around it. I assume this stays on the pump and I simply install the pump with boot into my pump/sender assembly. Anyone been here? I'm guessing the boot dampens the hum a bit?

Connection is by plastic clip with 2 wires extending from the clip that I'll solder and heat shrink wrap further up from the pump and connection. This is the original assy that came with the car as last time I bought the whole thing. So, this time, I can get it ready before removing the one in the tank.

Thanks, Mike
