Erratic Temperature Gauge Readings... 200

All,

I've been trying for years now to put this one to bed, but it has eluded me thus far.

I've done the following:

1. Removed compensation board and bypassed with a wire-wrap wire. That seemed to work for awhile, but then it went erratic again.
2. Replaced the temperature gauge, and
3. Replaced the temperature sending unit under the intake manifold.

What I have not done is checked the wire that runs from the sender to the connector to the cluster.

So, can anyone tell me which pin on the connector is the temperature sender wire?

Thanks in advance,

Matt
