New seal, but trunk still leaks? 444-544

Hey all,

So my new to me PV544 had a trunk leak. I got a new seal, removed and repainted the seal area and then installed a new seal. I can see that up along the top of the trunk, the seal doesn't quite touch the trunk lid when it's closed in a few spots. I tried twisting the seal a bit, thought I'd fixed the issue, but keep finding a puddle in the bottom of the trunk.

Anyone have a solution they'd like to share? I thought about adding a strip of stick on foam rubber to the underside of the trunk lid just to seal the gap, but thought I'd ask what you all may have done first.

Thanks,
Chris
