V90 Heater Climate Control Problem S90-V90

I have a 98 V90 with 170K miles on it.

I have started to have trouble with the heater control on my car. The temperature select does not appear to work and the car blows cold (unheated air) all the time unless I crank it up to the red line at the 12:00 position just past 80 which I believe is maximum heat. With the heat set here I quickly begin to roast. Any thoughts on the cause? My car is not showing any codes and I don't hear any vacuum leaks etc. I am ready to try a used control unit but I thought I would check here first.

Thanks,

Will
