Brake pedal activates head lights 200 1992

A couple nights ago, I got in my recently adopted '92 245 and before even inserting the key - as always - I rested my foot on the brake. When I did, my headlights came on. Lift foot - lights out. The brake pedal continued to activate the headlights until I started the car, at which point, it cleared up.

The reverse lights seemed a bit flaky, but finally came on.

The high beam indicator flickered, went out, came back, while driving.

Those are the only symptoms I noted, and they disappeared by the time I got home. As far as I know, the only place brake lights and head lights come together is at the bulb failure warning sensor, so my first step is going to involve inspecting that area and relay.

Has anyone else experienced this? I found one old post listing similar symptoms, but no word back as to whether or not the problem was fixed. Just thought I'd ask before digging in.
