Ground attached to driver's seat? 700 1990

Hey everybody. I was sitting in my car, and reached into the back seat.
When I did, my shifter lights went out. I started playing with moving the driver's seat side to side (it has a little play in its attachment), and it seems like when I lean towards the passenger side, the lights go out, and towards the driver's side, they come back on.

I'm chasing bad grounds for the gauge cluster and cabin lighting - is there a ground attached to or related to the driver's seat or its mounting rails?
How about for the seat heaters? Those used to work, a long time ago.

Happy Bricking
