Towing an 850 with a 240 - which tires should I use? 200

Hi all,

I may soon have to tow my '95 850 T5 on a two-wheel towing dolly hooked up to my '86 245 (I have a Volvo OEM dealer-option hitch) and have to choose between using my 14" winter tires on steel wheels or my 15" z-rated Pirellis on alloys. Anyone have any insight as to which would be the better move for a long trip (cross-country)? I would assume that the higher grip and heat rating on the Z's would mean those are the way to go, but I would love to hear any qualified opinions on this one. The weather will only be below 45 degrees F for maybe ten hours of the trip max, and inclement weather should be limited to rain only if I plan it right.

Thanks in advance,
Sam
