AC and headlights on at all times 900 1997

My 1997 960 wagon is having an electrical issue. I got in the car and the AC and recirculate switch alternated flashing and the headlights began to dim. Seconds later I smelt smoke in the cab. I turned the car off and tried to identify the source of the smoke. No success. The AC is now stuck in the on function - no matter the fan speed, mode or switch selection, etc. Furthermore, the headlights are stuck in the on position, no matter the selection switch.

I've checked all fuse boxes and no obvious source can be found. I'm guessing there is a wire harness that has shorted and needs replacing. My question...

Does anybody know where the headlights and climate control/AC intersect?

Thanks in advance.
