radio question- auxiliary input 200

I have a CR-712 (stock late 80's/early 90's) radio/cassette in my 83' 245, mounted in the lower dash position. I love the radio, but my wife would like to be able to listen to digital audio files- The obvious solution would be a new mp3 receiver...but I hate the thought one of of those things in my dash. Newer Fm transmitters have limited success. Has anyone had success in patching in a input jack on the late 240 radios? I don't believe this one has a stereo jack, like the one that came after it- but I will pull it tonight.
