My 88 240 volvo has a intermittent stall as in out of gass problem 200 1988

My 88 240 volvo with a manual trans. started this about 6 years ago .The car has 388,000 miles on it ,100K of them are from me .I have changed the fuel pumps ,relay ,and 25 amp fuse holder ,I have also cleaned the fuses and It still runs exactly the same .Just before the engine dies I can hear the main pump buzz .I checked for power to the injectors and spark to the plugs and the juice and spark is there !,,,,I saw and heard this exact same scenario at a auction years ago so I did not bid on this other car as it drove through, after their mechanics new exactly what to do to keep the car running for longer than 3 minutes which was this cars average as I test started it ,it was also a manual trans:,,,back to my car,,,I love a challenge but this one is taking over 6 years to solve so perhaps this scenario sounds familiar to someone .The car can run from 10 seconds to over 2 hours ,and sometimes it gets better and othertimes it gets worse .Thank you in advance for your time and answers .Sincerely Joe .
