trouble with non-original key in ignition 200 1989

'89 245
Two key copies came with the car, no original Volvo key. Fairly often, the key will not turn past the first click, in the ignition, without a lot of wiggling.

Do y'all think it's more likely that the ignition switch insides are wearing out, or that it'll work fine if I send off for a $65 original Volvo key through the dealership?
